The best animation movies with a message ever -open thread

Sat Jun 28, 2008 at 10:00:59 PM PDT

After reading Kos's FP diary and the following thread on Pixar's best, I thought that there had to be a diary with an open thread to discuss the best animation movies ever made.

Let's end the primary season with two sweet blogger driven victories

Mon Jun 02, 2008 at 01:10:35 PM PDT

I'll keep this short.

We have 2 primaries, that's right 2 democratic primaries left for the season. One  will be in the great state of South Dakota and the other in the Treasure state- Montana.

We can go nuts with our volunteering for today. We are after all a progressive pro-active community here.

Couldn't Hillary and her supporters have been better than Huckabee and his fans?

Fri May 23, 2008 at 11:06:10 PM PDT

Mike 'squirrel eater' Huckabee is an idiot, a  wingnut, an asshole , a contemptible rethug. We know that.
He made a crass unfunny assassination(a-shoot-him-and-he-ducks joke actually) joke at a NRA rally and apologized for it immediately because he in his blessed cold wingnut heart had it in him to listen to some asshat fans/supporters of his who wrote him letters to condone the joke and apologize in his true Christian faith. He lost his VP slot chance nonetheless.

Check a few comments on his website's blog by his supporters if you care or don't go there because I don't want you to. There was a Huckabee supporter on Obama blog apologizing profusely all day.

Now about Clinton and her supporters, more after the jump.

To all concerned chicken littles including me

Thu May 22, 2008 at 03:16:02 AM PDT

It looks like Clinton camp is looking to reach some sort of seating arrangement for the MI and FL delegates after all.
Her stay in the primary looks like it won't last after the final ballots are cast.

How can I tear myself away from this blog?

Tue Apr 29, 2008 at 06:02:51 PM PDT

I have my final finals coming up in a couple of days. I ain't feeling 'the fierce urgency of now' for some reason.
Yesterday I was depressed after watching Rev. Wright at the NPC presser and my head was exploding after the way he derided his own intelligence and better judgment to kneecap Obama.
After all these distractions which I have wrought upon myself in my head, I have to study.
Yes I have to and I still can't bring myself to tear myself away.

Robert Reich endorses Obama; Calls out HRC's negative campaigning singularly

Penn assumes his usual role without the title; was in this morning's press call

Here we go again. As Marc Ambinder is posting in the Atlantic. 'He is still very much involved' like before.

A candidate and the farce and the tragedy

Mon Mar 24, 2008 at 01:16:53 PM PDT

I don't have words to express my grief at the deaths of more than 4000 who have bled for this country for a cause that wasn't of their own choosing. They were but a 'volunteer force' as the administration and the architect of this putrid war puts it- as dismissively as we would twat a fly on the wall.

Can Iraq be counted as a success ? Will we see more of these kinds of wars/'freedom struggles'/'volunteer services' waged??
